2^nd Asia Professional Rescuer Competition 2010, Thailand

Asia Pre-hospital and Fire Rescue Federation Association (APFA) was established in the year 2005 by

Fire and Rescue Association (FARA-Thailand), Rayamas Consultancy Pte Ltd (RCY-Malaysia) and

Emergencies First Aid and Rescue Pte Ltd (EFAR-Singapore).In 2006, EFAR-Singapore organised the

1^st Asia Professional Rescuer Competition in Singapore and we had 4 teams taking part in the competition.

Judges came from Australia, United Kindom, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

This year, on the 17^th Dec to 20^th Dec 2010. The 2^nd Asia Professional Rescuer Competition will be held

in Thailand at Training Centre, Klong 9, Rangsit-Nakornnayok, Prathumthani,  Thailand.

A total of 5 teams from Thailand, 1 teams from Singapore, 1 team from Malaysia. will be taking part in this year

2^nd Asia Professional Rescuer Competition. We wished to extend our invitation to you to join us in this

exciting event .

There will be transport provided to fetch your team to FARA Training Centre,

accommodation and meals will be provided. There will be a fees of Baht 2,300

(100 Singapore dollar) to take part in the Competition. Hope to hear from you soon.

1.     Administration

             2^nd Pre-hospital Professional Rescuer Competition 2010 will be held at  FARA Training Centre,

             Klong 9, Rangsit-Nakornnayok, Prathumthani,  Thailand This year there will be 8-10 teams taking part in the

             competition, namely:

a)      5 Teams from Thailand

b)      1 Teams from Singapore

c)      1 Teams from Malaysia

d)      1 Teams from Australia

· Chairman of the 2^nd Pre-hospital Professional Rescuer Competition 2010 will be Tom Kanathat Chantrsiri (Thailand)

· Chief Judge will be James Teo (Singapore)

· Chief Instructor will be M.S.Maniam (Malaysia)

·  Participants will be provided on the following:

a)      Accommodation

b)      Meals

c)      Island Ferry

2.       Competition Format

                There will 3 scenarios and 4 skills station involved and they are:

a)      Scenarios

Ø   Road Traffic Accident

Ø   Earthquake

Ø    Drowning

b)      Skills station

Ø   CPR + AED

Ø   Spinal Management

Ø   IV therapy

Ø   Airway Management

·         Each scenario will involve 20 casualties and 3 critically injured

·         Each team will comprises of 5 first aiders, they will have to register before 1^st Nov 2010 and

            pay a total sum of Baht 2,300 (100 Singapore Dollar) to APFA Thailand (FARA)

·         Competitors will be provided with simulation equipment during the event, therefore, no team are allow to bring in

            additional items to support them in the competition

·         All Judges decisions will be final and only Chief Judge is allow to over-rule their decision,

                no other personnel  should be involved in the decision making of the Final Results and

                there will be no appeal process entertained

3.       Guided Tour

·         Every teams will be provided with a local tour guide from the Thailand ERT volunteers

·         They will be send to the shopping malls in a group and be fetch back to the FARA Safety and Health Resort at a

            given timing, all teams are to set off and be back at the same time, no one is allow to request for early departure

            or early arrival to the training centre. 

4.       Disciples

·         Every teams must have a leader to  liaise with the committee of 2^nd Pre-hospital Professional Rescuer Competition 2010

·         Strictly no alcohol and gambling are allow within the premises

·         If stealing is caught by anyone, the subject will be hand over to the local police. No appeal process will be entertained

·         During the stay, no one is to discuss on the following:

Ø      Political

Ø      Sex

Ø      Religion
